Owen Goes to Swim Lessons

Since we have barely been in town all summer this was only the second time we have made it to swim lessons.  Clearly Owen isn't LOVING it...he's only tolerating it.  Lindsey and Sydney met us there only to find out the instructor had canceled class that Saturday...Al and Lindsey conducted their own lesson while I watched and took pics from the side.  The most adorable part is he and Daddy's have the same Hurley board shorts!!!

Sunriver with Kevin & Sam

In August we went to Sunriver with my co-worker Kevin and his wife Sam...for not having their own kids they faired very well with a baby on vacation.  They drove and we flew knowing that a 7+ hour drive with the baby might be a cause for some marital issues.  Kevin had his new "way too fast for a baby" boat that we took out on Lake Billychinook.  I was freaked out the entire time...he was very safe but no baby should be in a boat that can possibly go 100 miles an hour!!!

Camp Harmony...the place we spent our childhood summers

As kids we spent our summer weekends at Camp Harmony on Dabob Bay and this was our first summer introducing Owen to life at "The Beach".  Each summer we have a reunion weekend...the addition of our spouses and a new generation of kids make it so much fun!

My cousin TJ married Aly Hard on August 1st, it was a glorious event and so much fun for our family to be together.  Here are a few good pics of the wedding events.

Priest Lake - July 2009

The Whitfields invited us along with the Heidergotts to Elizabeth's parents cabin at Priest Lake in Idaho.  It was a great weekend with fabulous and hilarious friends...Owen had a rough one but we made it through.  The cabin was so cozy and inviting...another great weekend away!

The Heidergott's took us to Owen's first Mariners game...considering a 7pm start we did really well.  It was a beautiful evening.

4th of July at Mason Lake

I'm finally getting our summer photos up on our blog so here is the beginning...back to the 4th of July.  We spent the weekend at Cathy and Dave's cabin at Mason Lake.  Their son Jacob kept Owen entertained on the beach while we played Mason Lake "Patriot Games"...this consisted of a bean bag toss, kayak races, golf and ping pong.  FYI...we came home with the trophy!!!
