Owen's First Vacation

We continued to celebrate Al's 30th birthday and took a trip down to Los Angeles and Malibu to introduce Owen to our friends from college.  We had a great time and we now know we can travel with an infant...other than the diaper blowout on the return flight it was pretty uneventful.  It was so great to be back in our college town...I sure wish there was a Malibu Yogurt in Seattle.  I've considered opening up shop but Al doesn't think there is a market for frozen yogurt in our rain soaked city!

Here we are on his first plane ride...he was a dream.
Owen's first dip in the ocean, he wasn't a huge fan....a little too cold in May.  We were the only people at the beach in Malibu but since it was sunny and 65 degrees we thought we could handle it.

We had dinner at Craig and Gita's one evening, here Owen is with Gita.
One afternoon we spent at the pool at Nick's place, the Ranch boys back together once again...nightmare!

We stayed one night in Camarillo at Shaina and Richie's AMAZING home, it was such a treat to be able to stay with them and enjoy their new baby girl Rylan who we had yet to meet.  The kiddos loved the hot tub.

Thanks to Owen's Godmom and Goddad he had a ton of sunscreen on and an adorable sunshirt. (his Goddad is a Dermatologist)

Shaina, Richie and Rylan...what a beautiful family.

Owen & Daddy after bath time (yes, Al does have shorts on!!!)

Al Turns 30!!!

We celebrated Al's 30th at The Attic in Madison Park.  It was a nice, mellow evening and I think he really enjoyed himself.  Instead of cupcakes, which I wanted to do...he requested Haribo gummy bears as party favors.  The only 30th birthday party I've been to with party favors but it's Al...and I love him!!!

Our trip to the Tulip Festival

Since neither Al or I had ever been to the Tulip Festival we headed up one afternoon that Al didn't have any patients.  We made the mistake of going directly from Owen's 2 month appointment (he got 3 shots that day!!!) so it didn't make for a very relaxing day or car ride home.  Oh well, we know now that you head straight home after shots.

A sunny beach day in Edmonds

Owen's First Two Months

Nana and Papa can't get enough of little Owen.  Here they are on Easter Sunday at Trip and Kathy's house.  They call every night to do the webcam with Owen, soon they will probably be reading him his bedtime story via the web.
Asleep in Lulu's arms.

This is how we eat dinner most nights now, Owen's best time of the day is definitely NOT dinner time!
This was the first bath I gave Owen by myself without Nana, I think he likes it.
Owen and his Godmother, Beth Isenhath...what a special day for us.
Owen supporting his newborn Chuck Taylors from Uncle Mark.
Taking a snooze in my bearsuit during a walk around Greenlake.

My First Easter

Owen celebrated Easter and watched the Masters with his daddy in his golf outfit.  Like father like son.

Owen's first Easter basket from the Easter Bunny...no candy this year, just clothes and books.  We took him to see the Easter Bunny and decided that the Easter Bunny is pretty scary!!  Al says we aren't going next year, at least he was sleeping and couldn't see how scary that large bunny really was.
