Pumpkin patch...aka the QFC parking lot

For Owen's first Halloween we had planned to make a family trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out his first perfect pumpkin.  The only problem was the weekend we planned to go it rained non-stop! So between showers we found ourselves in the QFC parking lot for a Minahan photo shoot. People laughed at us and we laughed at ourselves...what do you do? Most of you probably have a pumpkin patch tradition but this might just be a new one for us.

More Maui Photos

Now that we have both of our cameras uploaded here are some more pictures from our trip to Maui earlier this month.  Owen is getting so big and I can hardly stand it.  As most of you know I'm super into making baby food and as most of you can now tell Owen is super into eating it!!!

Maui Family Vacation

It only took me 18 years to get to go to Hawaii with my parents but Owen accomplished it in only 7 1/2 months!!!  We have many more pictures to post but one of our cameras has yet to be uploaded so once that is done watch out!!!  We went to Maui with Dave & Sue, my parents and brother for a week...it was a very relaxing vacation.  I love this picture of Owen and Daddy with the beautiful Hawaiian sky.  We were welcomed home by the Seattle rain...bummer.

Owen and I having an "I want to learn to crawl" session at dinner one night

This was the day we arrived, he was so tired with the time change but we had to keep him up for his first Hawaiian sunset...Daddy's favorite.

Nakey Owen

Someday I'm sure Owen will curse me for putting these on our blog but really...I couldn't pass up showing them off.

Halloween Preview

Could this kid be any cuter?  I bought this costume last year on sale when I was pregnant so we had to try it on and see if it would still fit...he kind of looks like a girl but a super cute one!!!

Alderbrook Weekend Getaway

For our last weekend trip of the summer we went to Alderbrook on Hood Canal with the Oldelehrs, Heidergotts and Whitfields.  Owen rolled over for the first time this weekend from his back onto his front and this is how I found him after his nap one day.
Miss Sydney and Dane.  Sydney doesn't like to smile for the camera anymore BUT...I captured this one.
Marcus and Al with the boys...Owen and Dane are only 12 days apart and I think the dads may just have to share the coaching duties for the boys sports teams.

Husky or Wave?

After the big no. 3 USC win it could be a toss up where Owen goes to college.  His Lulu and Grandpa Dave would be thrilled if he carried on the purple and gold tradition as you can see.  Decorated with beads and Husky attire Owen attended his first Husky football game and tailgate.  We hesitated taking him at the usual departure time of 8:30am for a 12:30pm kickoff but we decided to go for it and he did awesome...thankfully, or it could have been his first and last game this year.

Al and Owen with Nick and Caden DiRe who were up from California for the game.  Owen and Caden had yet to meet...they are destined to be childhood friends if we have anything to say about it.
Owen and his Goddad Scotty I just hanging out at the Minahan tailgate
